Day 2
Friday June 23, 2006

We woke up to a clear bright day.

The massive rock wall in the background is the Beehive and it extends to the Cathedral Rocks. We could see climbers departing Camp Muir making their way to Cathedral Gap to climbed cover to the Ingraham Glacier.

Before the climbers reached the Cathedral Gap, they'd pass a rock fall zone, throughout the morning we could hear rocks rolling down the wall. They're mainly around the size of an apple. We did spotted one the size of a small mellon on the snow field while we're on our way to the gap.

The cathedral gap was quite annoying to climb, the terrain was all rocky and sandy and some what steep. Luckily it was a short climb.

Andrew (Tom's son) and Tom, the other Andrew injured his ankle and had to cancel the trip weeks before the climb.
