Took us about 6 hours to covered 4.5 miles and 4600 ft elevation gained.

The wind pick up almost as soon as we arrived at Camp Muir. We set up our tents at a well established tent site not far from the out house. As the sun was setting, the temperature dropped very quickly. We hunkered behind the shelter to get away from the wind in order to cook our dinner.

We climbed into our tent after dinner, where I'd spend the rest of the night listening to the wind flapping the tent. Somewhat unnerving.

At around midnight, I could hear climbers getting ready for their summit push despite of the fierce wind. I admire their determination.
