Coming down this section with only one yaktrax wasn't easy. So I thought I was really down with luck with one Yaktrax left on my feet, not until when I lost a trekking pole, then I realize what a miserable trip I have ahead of me.

While descending the Shorey shortcut, when I arrived at a ladder, I threw my trekking poles down from the top of the ladder so that I have my hands free to down climb the ladder. When the pole hit the bottom, one of the pole hit a rock or something and bounced into the woods further down. I spent at least 15 min trying to find it but with no sight of it. So, the rest of the hike on the icy Shorey shortcut I was on one Yaktrax and one pole, Weee.... fun!!
