We'd take a water and sunscreen break every hour. Here was break #2.
The snow on the ground was a bit on the soft side, making it slightly more strenous to hike. My backpack weight about 45lb or less, all my pre-climb trainings seems to works as the weight didn't bother me much.
The climb so far was very straight forward, no big rocks or roots to navigate around, making it very easy to lock into a trance, with the rhythmical breathing and steps, we're making very good time.
