I ran for about less than 2 min or so and realized that the bear didn't chase after me. Obviously, otherwise I won't be typing this now. I zipped up my pack and hike very fast out. I caught up with a guy I ran into while hiking in and told him about my bear encounter. He told me that it was very common to see bears on this mountain and bear attack was very rare.
