Despite just spent a weekend in ADK a week before, I couldn't resist Terri's offer to hike Santa with me. Since I've never been to the Upperworks before and not knowing how remote the area is, I decided to make the long drive over in the morning instead of sleeping in my car the night before. I left home around 2 AM started the 5 hours long drive to meet Terri at the trailhead at 7AM.
