It is a very beautiful trail, it has many PUDs (pointless ups and downs) and it kick ass, my ass that is. After a warm up hike yesterday, I figured since I'm in the neighborhood, I'd give this infamous trail a try. The plan was up Howker Ridge, down via Valley Way. But I changed my plan descended via Brookside trail instead.
