Day 3: Friday October 10

Jason needed a very early start and I was in no hurry. So we decided to hike our own hike today. I got up around 8 AM, packed up my stuff and slowly made my way back to the junction of Ward Brook truck road and Calkins Brook truck road.

A night at the Lean-To took a toll on me, I was feeling crappy this morning. Since the Marshall hike, I had been using leaves on the ground to blow my nose, by now I have gained some experience on which type of leave works the best. The one on the left is the softest, strongest and has the largest area to avoid getting crap on your hands. The middle one is the roughest, the maple is OK but prepare to get your hands dirty.
